Author Guidelines
1. Paper Relevance
Future - Journal of Educational Media and Communication Innovation (JEMCI) invites high-quality, original research exploring the intersection of educational media, communication, and technological innovation. The journal seeks to advance the understanding of educational communication by emphasizing the transformative role of digital media, immersive technologies, and data-driven approaches in modern educational environments.
Submissions should focus on how digital and immersive technologies reshape educational communication, enhance teaching and learning experiences, and address challenges in disseminating educational content. The journal particularly welcomes interdisciplinary studies investigating the role of social media, online learning platforms, and artificial intelligence in transforming educational communication and strategies.
2. Scope of Topics
The journal accepts submissions on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
- Innovative practices and impact assessment of digital media in educational communication
- Application research of immersive technologies (e.g., virtual reality and augmented reality) in educational communication
- Design and mediatization of educational communication content
- The role and challenges of social media in educational information dissemination
- Educational communication strategies and effectiveness analysis of online learning platforms

3. Criteria for Judging Papers
Submitted manuscripts are evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Originality: Presenting novel insights into the application and impact of educational media and communication technologies.
- Significance and Relevance: Addressing critical challenges in educational communication with meaningful implications for educational theory, practice, and policy.
- Technical Soundness: Employing rigorously applied methods and technologies that are scientifically grounded and reproducible.
- Quality of Presentation: Clearly written, logically organized manuscripts adhering to high academic standards in formatting, language, and citation practices.
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may require revision or face rejection.
4. Expectations for Paper Content
Manuscripts should meet the following expectations:
- Clear Motivation and Objectives: Clearly articulate the research problem and its significance, explaining how the work contributes to educational media and communication innovation.
- Novelty and Contribution: Highlight how the research advances existing knowledge, particularly in the use of digital and immersive technologies, artificial intelligence, or social media in educational communication.
- Empirical Evidence and Practical Relevance: Provide robust empirical results, case studies, or real-world applications demonstrating the effectiveness of communication strategies or technologies.
- Comparative Analysis: Situate the research within broader educational contexts by comparing communication models, technologies, or media strategies across multicultural or international educational settings.
5. Paper Types
The journal accepts the following categories of papers:
- Theoretical Papers: Proposing new models, frameworks, or theories related to educational communication, digital media, or immersive technologies.
- Empirical Research Papers: Presenting original research based on data collection, experiments, surveys, or case studies examining the effectiveness and impact of communication strategies or technologies.
- Case Studies and Application Reports: Highlighting real-world applications of educational communication theories, digital media tools, or immersive technologies in educational settings.
- Policy and Strategy Papers: Analyzing the role of educational media and communication technologies in shaping educational policies, online learning platforms, and social media strategies.
6. Manuscript Specifications
Manuscripts must adhere to the following specifications:
- Length and Format: Manuscripts should be concise yet comprehensive, following the journal’s official template, ensuring sections for title, abstract, keywords, introduction, literature review, methods, results, discussion, conclusion, and references. There is no strict page limit; submissions must maintain clarity and focus.
- Abstract and Keywords: Provide an abstract of 150–250 words summarizing the research objectives, methods, results, and significance. Include 5 keywords for indexing and discoverability.
- Figures and Tables: Submit high-quality figures and tables, properly labeled and referenced in the manuscript. Figures should have a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
- References: Use APA 6th Edition citation style for all references. Citations must be accurate and formatted as follows:
- In-text citation: (Author, Year)
- Reference list: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), pages. https://doi.org/xxxx
Example:

- Supplementary Materials: Authors may include multimedia files, appendices, or datasets to enhance the research’s accessibility and presentation.
- Ethical Compliance: For research involving human participants, provide ethical compliance details, including institutional review board (IRB) approval if applicable.
7. Authorship and Submission Policies
- Authorship Criteria: Authors must contribute significantly to the research and accept responsibility for its content and integrity.
- Ethical Compliance: Submissions must comply with the journal’s policies on plagiarism, prior publication, and simultaneous submissions. Authors must disclose any overlapping content and detail any enhancements made in the manuscript.
