Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Future – Environmental Policy and Sustainable Development (Future-EPSD) is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of all individuals associated with the journal, including authors, reviewers, and readers. This privacy policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard personal data in accordance with international publishing standards and data protection regulations, including those followed by Scopus- and Web of Science–indexed journals.

Future-EPSD collects and processes personal data solely for the purpose of facilitating journal operations, including the editorial workflow, peer-review process, publication, and communication with relevant parties. Information collected includes:

  • For Authors: Full name, institutional affiliation, ORCID ID, contact information, and manuscript details provided during the submission and publication process.

  • For Reviewers: Full name, academic affiliation, contact information, and areas of expertise for the purpose of assigning manuscripts.

  • For Readers: Any contact information voluntarily submitted for newsletter subscriptions, article alerts, or inquiries.

The data collected is strictly used for editorial and academic publishing purposes and is never used for commercial marketing activities.


Data Protection

We adhere to robust data protection protocols to safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of personal information:

  • Personal data access is strictly limited to authorized editorial staff and administrative personnel.

  • All data is stored on secure, encrypted systems.

  • Regular audits and updates ensure compliance with evolving security standards and legal requirements.

Future-EPSD does not share personal data with third parties except in the following limited cases:

  • When necessary to conduct peer review (e.g., reviewers and editors may receive selected manuscript-related information while preserving anonymity).

  • To support indexing, abstracting, and discovery services (e.g., Scopus, Web of Science, Crossref).

  • Deletion: You may request deletion of your data, subject to legal and operational requirements.
