Writing for PAPI: Key Tips
Whether you’re an experienced researcher or new to academic writing, these tips will help you craft a strong submission:
- Clarity and conciseness: Write for an interdisciplinary audience of policymakers, researchers, and practitioners.
- Journal alignment: Review PAPI’s [author guidelines](#) and [aims & scope](#) before drafting.
- Evidence-based arguments: Substantiate policy analyses with data, case studies, or computational results.
- Focused scope: Avoid overly broad discussions; prioritize depth in your chosen area (e.g., digital governance or crisis management).
- Visual aids: Use tables, figures, or network diagrams to illustrate complex policy models or data.
- Accuracy: Verify references, especially for policy documents and government reports.
- Resilience: Address peer review feedback constructively—rejections are part of the improvement process.
