Future-Adaptive Intelligence and Lifelong Systems(ISSN 3080-6550) is an international academic journal dedicated to cutting-edge research in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning. The journal aims to advance the theory and practice of Continual Learning and Adaptive Learning, focusing on enabling AI systems to achieve long-term learning capabilities in dynamic environments, continually update their knowledge, and retain previously acquired learning outcomes. The journal places special emphasis on research topics such as incremental learning, algorithms for mitigating catastrophic forgetting, adaptive model optimization, task transfer and knowledge reuse, and multitask learning, as well as their applications in complex scenarios like cognitive science, robotics, smart cities, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
As a multidisciplinary platform, the journal attracts scholars from fields such as computer science, cognitive science, and statistics, fostering the integration of innovation and practical applications. Future-Adaptive Intelligence and Lifelong Systems strives to become a vital platform for academia and industry to explore the long-term development pathways of AI systems, leading the way in the evolution of future intelligent systems.
Future Publishing adopts a different publishing model. Conferences will be held annually in May and October, bringing together scholars from around the world to attend and submit their papers. After the conference, the accepted papers will be published in the journal. The procedure for publishing one article in the Future-AILS has eight steps and to present one proposal it is necessary to follow the guidelines of a Template. All the proposals need to be reviewed by three members of the Future Editorial Team (FET) in a peer review process in which each of the reviewers needs to fill up an Evaluation Form. If your proposal has been accepted positively by two of the three members of the FET, you need to defend it at the International Conference on Adaptive Intelligence and Lifelong Systems (ICAILS). After the conference, authors have 15 days to improve their proposals and send them to the Future-AILS. The publication of an article in the Future-AILS has no cost, only that due to the selection process that is followed, with the intention of improving the quality of the proposals with the comments of the reviewers, the proposals must be previously presented at the ICAILS conference, whose assistance naturally has a cost that is the registration fee of the same.
